F2014 Detailed Troubleshooting Steps

Description

Fault 2014 occurs when the drive hardware detects the loss of one or more phases when configured for three-phase AC input.

Details about the fault
AC input phase loss detection is active when VBUS.DCOPERATION = 0, indicating that the drive is configured for AC line input. Phase loss detection is not active when VBUS.DCOPERATION = 1.
When the drive is configured for AC line input, VBUS.THREEPHASE indicates whether the input is three-phase or single-phase. If VBUS.THREEPHASE = 1, phase loss detection is active. If VBUS.THREEPHASE = 0, the phase loss fault is turned off.
The phase loss detection circuit is designed to operate above 40% of standard AC line voltage (e.g., 96V on MV drives where the standard AC line voltage is 240V, and 192V on HV drives where the standard AC line voltage is 480V). If VBUS.ACNOMINAL, which should be set to the actual nominal line voltage, is set to a value less than 40% of the standard voltage, then phase loss detection is turned off.

Troubleshooting Steps

Fault 2014 typically indicates a problem with the drive configuration during commissioning, and with the AC line input once the drive is operating. These steps can help isolate and characterize the problem.

  1. Check VBUS.DCOPERATION. Set VBUS.DCOPERATION = 1, if a DC input is being used.
  2. Check VBUS.THREEPHASE.
    • Set VBUS.THREEPHASE = 0, if the AC line input is single-phase.
    • Set VBUS.THREEPHASE = 1, if the AC line input is three-phase.
  3. Check that VBUS.ACNOMINAL is set to the actual nominal AC line voltage.
  4. Power cycle the drive. Check whether the fault occurs again to determine whether the condition is persistent.
  5. Check the AC line input connection to the drive.
  6. Check the AC line input voltage quality.

If the fault persists, please contact Kollmorgen support.
