Troubleshooting and FAQs
Files
- Ensure that you are opening a WorkBench project file (*.WBP). Any other file format will be reported as a corrupt file.
- The WorkBench project file may not be compatible with the application version. See About Backward and Forward Version Compatibility for more information.
WorkBench does not delete the file, it is only being removed from the list of recent files.
- Create an empty project.
- Create an Offline simulation of the drive.
- Load the parameter file to the simulated drive.
If WorkBench is not displaying correctly on your monitor and is showing cut off text, images, or other elements, or some elements are placed incorrectly, your Windows Display Settings need to be set to 100%.
To change your display settings:
-
Right-click on your Desktop and select Display Settings.
OR
In your Windows taskbar, select Start > Settings > System > Display. -
Under Scale and layout, use the drop-down menu to change the setting to 100%. Do this for all monitors displaying WorkBench.
-
Stop and restart WorkBench.
If changing your Display Settings doesn't work, check to see if your DPI settings are set by application. WorkBench should not be setup to use these settings and should be using the display settings from the Windows Display Settings noted above.
-
- You will need to change the setting below each time you update WorkBench.
- Right-click on the shortcut used to launch WorkBench.
- Select Properties.
- Select the Compatibility tab.
- Click Change high DPI Settings button near the bottom of the dialog.
- Check Override High DPI and set the drop-down below this to System.
- Click OK.
- Stop and restart WorkBench.
