STRINGS.FORCEDOWNLOAD
Description
This keyword will power cycle all AKD-Ns connected to the AKD-C and boot them up in "firmware download" mode (when keyword is set to 1) or in operational mode (when keyword is set to 0). This allows AKD-N drives to be recovered when their operational firmware has been corrupted. Note that the Bus power cannot be applied to the AKD-C/Ns when this keyword is issued since the logic power to the AKD-N drives will be turned off and back on. A fault will be generated if the Bus power is applied and this keyword is issued.
| Value | Description |
|---|---|
| 0 | Power cycles the AKD-Ns and boots them up in operational mode for normal operation |
| 1 | Power cycles the AKD-Ns and boots them up in “firmware download” mode. |
