SafeID

If you configure a functional safety system, you have the responsibility to ensure that:

  • every AKD2G has a distinct SafeID,
  • every device on the safe fieldbus has a unique FSoE address,
  • the SafeID is adjusted to the application during commissioning Commissioning,
  • the SafeID is validated to the application Validation.

Restarting the drive after changing the SafeID will result in the loss of this default configuration and will cause a non-operational state as long as no other parameter package is downloaded and validated.

Restarting the drive after changing the SafeID in general will invalidate the current safety configuration. Returning the SafeID to the previously configured value afterwards will not revalidate the previously used configuration. In order to use this or another configuration again, a new download and validation of a parameter package is necessary.

The SafeID value 00 will also invalidate/clear the safety configuration after a restart but cannot be used as regular value for operation.

The SafeID is calculated based on the rotary switches setting:

SafeID = 10 • S1 + S2

Example:
Rotary switches: S1 = 2, S2 = 3 → SafeID = 10 • 2 + 3 = 23

Default: When shipped, the SafeID is preset to 01 by default (SafeID = 1). The default safety configuration is bound to this SafeID.
