F2020 Detailed Troubleshooting Steps
Description
Fault 2020 occurs when the following three conditions are met:
-
The mains voltage is turned on.
-
The DC bus voltage charges to a steady state voltage greater than the threshold at which the regen circuits operates.
-
An attempt is made to enable the axis.
Fault 2020 is preceded by Warning 2012, which is also named Initial DC bus above regen threshold. The warning is reported when the axis is disabled, and the fault occurs when the enable attempt is made. See Warning 2012 for additional information about the cause of and response to the DC bus charging above the regen level.
Troubleshooting Steps
Fault 2020 indicates that the applied mains voltage is inconsistent with the VBUS.ACNOMINAL or VBUS.DCNOMINAL setting. The following troubleshooting steps, which are the same as those for Warning 2012, can help isolate and characterize the problem.
- If VBUS.DCOPERATION = 0, check that VBUS.ACNOMINAL is set to a level that represents the actual AC line voltage.
- If VBUS.DCOPERATION = 1, check that VBUS.DCNOMINAL is set to a level that represents the actual DC supply voltage.
- Check VBUS.VALUE to verify that the measured DC bus voltage represents the actual AC line voltage or DC supply voltage.
- Turn off the mains voltage and let the DC bus discharge. Wait until VBUS.VALUE is close to zero, then turn the mains voltage back on.
a. Check that the inrush relay closes by listening for an audible click and by examining the inrush disable bit in AXIS#.DISSOURCES .
b. Check that Warning 2012 is not reported.
c. Try to enable the axis and check that Fault 2020 is not reported.
If the fault persists, please contact Kollmorgen support.
