Input/Output Bus

Input/Output refers to the communication and acquisition of data between your automation system and the outside world (possibly a human, or another information processing system).

  • Inputs are the signals or data received by the automation system.
  • Outputs are the signals or data sent from it.

Automation systems built with KAS are interrupt-driven.

Typical interrupt uses include: system timers, disks I/O, power-off signals, and exceptions handling.

I/O Modules

I/O modules provide a convenient modular package which is simple to wire and add or change slice types.
