Confirm Connection with the Device

If you have more than one device connected to your network, then you can confirm that the new device is connected to the correct network as follows:

A seven-segment LED display is located on the front of the device near the top. If you can see the display, then press the Blink button from the Overview screen in WorkBench and the device will flash the seven-segment display on and off.
If it is difficult to see the display, then you can check the MAC addressA Media Access Control address (MAC address) is a quasi-unique identifier assigned to most network adapters or network interface cards (NICs) by the manufacturer for identification. If assigned by the manufacturer, a MAC address usually encodes the manufacturer's registered identification number in the WorkBench list against the MAC address on the label of the device. The device is connected if the numbers displayed in WorkBench match the numbers printed on the label on the side of the device.
