AXIS#.HOME.MOVE

Description

AXIS#.HOME.MOVE starts a homing move. AXIS#.OPMODE must be set to 2 (position mode) and AXIS#.CMDSOURCE must be set to 0 (Service).

AXIS#.STOP can be used to stop homing after it has started.

  • When Axis 2 is configured as a gantry (AXIS2.CMDSOURCE = 4), issuing AXIS1.HOME.MOVE starts homing on both Axis 1 and Axis 2. The drive returns an error if AXIS2.HOME.MOVE is commanded.
To ensure both axes move together during gantry homing, AXIS1.HOME.V, AXIS1.HOME.ACC. and AXIS1.HOME.DEC are used on both axes. The correspoding AXIS2 parameters are ignored.
When homing completes successfully on both axes, GANTRY.STATE changes to 3, indicating the gantry is active and ready for motion commands.
