To reduce exposure and protect data in transit, KAS security includes:

SSH Disabled by Default

• Secure Shell (SSH) access is disabled out of the box to minimize the attack surface.

HTTPS Based Web Server Communication

• All web server communication is performed over HTTPS.

SSL/TLS Certificate Support

• The web server supports certificate based SSL/TLS communication, enabling encrypted and authenticated connections.

• The OPC UA server supports X.509 certificate based communication.
  • This allows secure, authenticated, and encrypted OPC UA connections.
