Connect Remotely

You can connect to a controller from an external network using VPN or other tunneling protocol.

You must open these ports which are used by KAS to connect to a controller:

KAS-IDE:

  • Controller Web Server
  • Download PLC application
  • Runtime front end communication.
    • This is necessary for the connection to the runtime.
  • If port 80 is used by any other application, the Simulator uses an alternate port available in the host computer for HTTP communication.

  • The OPC UA Server uses port 4840 by default.
  • Users can configure the controller to use a different port number if required.
