SSH Login to a Controller

An SSHClosed Secure Shell Protocol - A network protocol for secure data communication and remote command execution. SSH applications are based on a client–server architecture, connecting an SSH client instance with an SSH server. client is required to log in to a controller using SSH.


  • The first time you log into the controller, you may be prompted (depending on the client) whether you trust the device (controller).
    The admin/root password and the webserver password are separate. One does not affect the other.

Login to AKD PDMM and PCMM

  1. Configure the SSH client using these settings:

  3. At the login prompt, enter the user name and password.
    • Default User Name: root.
    • Default Password: administrator.

Login to PCMM2G

  1. Configure the SSH client using these settings:

  3. At the login prompt, enter the user name and password.
    The admin password is unit-specific.
    It is assigned based on the serial number of the unit.
    • Default User Name: admin.
    • Default Password: pcmm2g + the last three digits of the controller serial number.
      • Example: If the controller serial number is KL2023180027, default password is pcmm2g027.

  • The controller serial number can be found from the Home tab or by checking the label printed on the unit.
