There are three axes as referenced on the picture:
This application is composed of two discs (one with pegs and the other with holes) that rotate (axes 1 and 2) independently and with different speed profiles. The motion is controlled to punch the two discs together (axis 3) when they match.
Each of the three axis is connected to an AKD drive.
