FB#.INFO
Description
Provides information about the feedback device A process whereby some proportion of the output signal of a system is passed (fed back) to the input. In automation, a device coupled to each motor to provide indication of the motor's shaft angle, for use in commutating the motor and controlling its speed and position connected to the drive.
The large range of AKD2Gfeedback devices supports vary in their capabilities and information the drive can determine from the feedback. For devices like HIPERFACE DSL and EnDat, the interface supports the ability to read information from the device whereas resolvers and incremental encoders where no additional information can be read beyond position. FB#.INFO provides a list of this extra information where available as each device has different capabilities the information provided varies.
Example
For example, an EnDat device reports.
