Reading and writing to Remote I/O devices in a KAS program is done through ECAT PDO
PDO is a type of protocol frame used in some fieldbuses. A PDO contains one or more object dictionary entries, which define the application data transferred between devices. and SDO function block communications. The non-standard devices will not show up in the KAS IDE Project tree.
The function block ECATWriteData is shown being used to write to the digital outputs of the non-standard digital output module in this application in Writing to a non-standard I/O device. Note : Offset = 42.
