Controller Onboard I/O

The procedure to define the local I/Os of the controller is similar to the one for I/O slices.

• The Onboard digital I/O update rate for:
  • PCMM2G matches the EtherCAT ***EtherCAT is an open, high-performance Ethernet-based fieldbus system. The development goal of EtherCAT was to apply Ethernet to automation applications which require short data update times (also called cycle times) with low communication jitter (for synchronization purposes) and low hardware costs update rate.
  • AKD PDMM and PCMM is limited to a 1kHz update rate.
