Description

The ECAT.LEGACYREV changes the displayed revision number in the EtherCATClosed ***EtherCAT is an open, high-performance Ethernet-based fieldbus system. The development goal of EtherCAT was to apply Ethernet to automation applications which require short data update times (also called cycle times) with low communication jitter (for synchronization purposes) and low hardware costs slave information (SII).

Value Description
0 The revision number is changed with every Beta or production firmware, that includes changes in the CANopen-behaviour. With this setting EoE and the third FMMU for mailbox checking is enabled by using the ESI-file. The size of the Rx-PDOs is 32 bytes.
1 Revision number is set to legacy value of #x00000002. With this setting the Rx-PDOClosed PDO is a type of protocol frame used in some fieldbuses. A PDO contains one or more object dictionary entries, which define the application data transferred between devices. size is restricted to 20 bytes.
