Export a Method

Use this procedure to export an individual method for reuse in another UDFB or project.

1. In the Project Explorer, expand the UDFB containing the method.
2. Right-click the method to export.
   The context menu appears. (Figure 1)

3. Select Export.
   The Save As dialog box opens.
4. Select a destination folder.
5. Enter a filename.

• KAS-IDE automatically proposes a default filename based on the method name.

6. Click Save to save the file in the designated location and close the dialog box.

KAS-IDE exports the method as a .XK5 file containing:

• Method interface definition.
• Input and output parameter definitions.
• Local variable declarations.
• Method implementation.
