Device Toolbar

This table is a list of each toolbar icon and a description of its functionality.

Each icon provided in this toolbox has a brief explanation provided below in order to explain the functionality.

Icon	Description
	Show the PLC "Programmable Logic Controller" A Programmable Logic Controller, PLC, or Programmable Controller is a digital computer used for automation of industrial processes, such as control of machinery on factory assembly lines. Used to synchronize the flow of inputs from (physical) sensors and events with the flow of outputs to actuators and events options dialog. The dialog has Compilation parameters that can be modified for the target. See Set the Compilation Options. The Online Change Applies to downloading PLC code changes while the applicaiton is running. frame is used to allow or forbid Online Changes. See PLC Online Change. The PLC Variable Locking frame is used to allow or forbid PLC variables to be locked (forced). See Forcing a Variable. The PLC options selections are stored in a KAS project file and are loaded when the project is opened.
	Change the Controller IP address to connect with KAS Simulator. See Using the KAS Simulator.
	Compile the project.
	Compile and download the project.
	Establish a connection with the target Controller. For possible statuses, see the Color Codes table for the labels of the status bar.
	Close connection with the target Controller.
	Download the application to the targeted Controller (Note that the application must not be running). See Download the Project.
	Start the application. It can be either a Warm or Cold start.
	Stop the application.

The Allow Variables to be Locked option cannot be changed while the Online Change Enabled option is selected.
If Online Change is enabled, deselect the Online Change Enable option first, enable or disable PLC Variable Locking, then re-enable Online Change, and re-compile the project.
